Eligible homebuyers purchasing an owner-occupied 1–2 unit property in Cook County, Illinois, who complete HUD-approved housing counseling, use an approved lender, have a minimum credit score of 620, a maximum debt-to-income ratio of 50 percent, meet income limits at or below 120 percent of area median income unless buying in a Disproportionately Impacted Area or Qualified Census Tract where income limits are waived, and agree to occupy the home as their primary residence.
