The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Program (SSH) provides funding for small community-based development projects that align with U.S. Embassy priorities, such as economic diversification, women's entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Eligible applicants include registered Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and Community or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that demonstrate community involvement and have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number. To apply, submit a completed SSH form, project proposal, and required documents via email to the U.S. Self-Help Coordinator at praiagrants@state.gov, with applications accepted on a rolling basis until June.
