Eligible Locations

Eligible first time homebuyers purchasing an owner occupied primary residence anywhere in California who are from underserved communities, have household income at or below about 120 percent of area median income, work with a California Association of Realtors member agent and will have no more than about 20000 dollars in liquid assets after closing.

The Pathway to Home Closing Cost Assistance Grant Program (via C.A.R.’s Housing Affordability Fund and non-profit partner NPHS) provides non-repayable grants up to $10,000 for eligible first-time homebuyers in California who are members of underserved groups (people of color, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+), income ≤ 120% AMI, represented by a C.A.R. REALTOR®, purchasing a principal residence with no cash-back and ≤ $20k savings post-closing. (California Association of Realtors)
