Description
The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $7,500,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.
This NOFO is to provide targeted TA to strengthen Botswana’s implementation of sustainable and comprehensive HIV care and biomedical HIV prevention for adults and children under PEPFAR. We aim to build the capacities of service providers and improve HIV case finding, targeted prevention, care and treatment, continuity of care, and viral load suppression among adults and children.
Activities of this NOFO will involve TA to Government of Botswana in the following areas: (1) Comprehensive HIV care and treatment for adults. (2) TB symptom screening, diagnostic evaluation, and prevention among people living with HIV. (3) Advanced HIV disease management. (4) Leveraging primary health care to support sustainability and the integration of HIV services among people living with HIV. (5) Cervical cancer prevention among women living with HIV. (6) Comprehensive HIV care and treatment for children and adolescents. (7) Strengthening quality and use of pediatric HIV data. (8) Targeted high impact biomedical HIV prevention interventions including, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), violence prevention and support for survivors of violence, and youth-responsive HIV prevention services. (9) Capacity-building for healthcare providers in all HIV programs. (10) Development and implementation of innovative guidelines needed to sustain HIV epidemic control.
