This NOFO will expand and improve quality of laboratory services that directly contribute to achieving HIV epidemic control in Lesotho. Strategies include strengthening laboratory services by supporting implementation of strategic plans and quality management systems towards accreditation. This NOFO will strengthen laboratories that are equipped with the infrastructure, appropriate diagnostic technologies, trained and skilled staff, and information systems that have the capability to provide accurate, reliable, and timely testing services.
You will provide support in the development of a robust laboratory informatics infrastructure that facilitates accurate data management, improves laboratory workflows, and enhances the quality of laboratory services through an equipment management system that tracks the lifecycle of medical devices from acquisition to disposal. The focus will be on enforcing developed key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide measurable insights into equipment utilization, performance and establishing benchmarks for equipment efficiency, downtime, and maintenance response times. The NOFO will continue to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among healthcare staff through targeted cost-effective training and capacity-building initiatives. By equipping personnel with the knowledge and skills to manage equipment effectively, operational efficiency and promotion of a proactive approach to equipment care can be enhanced.
