Description
The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $13,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.
This NOFO will support accelerating the provision of lifesaving HIV prevention, care, and treatment services to sustain programmatic gains and achieve HIV epidemic control in selected Health Zones (HZ) within the Kinshasa and Haut Katanga regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The lifesaving treatment program aims to implement evidence-based interventions and innovative strategies to offer HIV testing, care, and prevention services, especially among those unaware of their status, people living with HIV not on treatment, and those requiring preventive services. You will be expected to provide direct support and technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to accelerate HIV service delivery across the treatment and prevention cascade and strengthen the technical capacity of provincial and HZ level teams to analyze data, improve data quality, and utilize data for informed decision-making. You will also be expected to engage community organizations to contribute to improving the uptake of HIV services, linkage, and retention. The overall NOFO goal aligns with the America First Global Health Strategy and other global goals surrounding the elimination of HIV/AIDS as a public health threat while also focusing on strengthening the self-reliance of the public health system within selected HZ in Kinshasa and Haut Katanga regions. CDC DRC is focused on health system strengthening, and the use of data or evidence-based intervention in preparation for the transition to the host country.
